Blogging is hard work

Blogging is hard work.

It is a struggle.

I am not very creative. I struggle to think about topic to write about. And I struggle to find the words when I do have a topic.

I struggle with words. Because I am Afrikaans. That is my home language. To write in English, I have to constantly translate whatever I am writing. It causes me head aches at times.

I want to keep on writing in English, though. How else will I learn?

Blogging is hard work. Especially, it feels to me, when I open my blog site.

My blog site is a mess. At least, it feels that way to me. There are links all over the place. Those links in the sidebars. Cleaning those, feels like the most work. When I open it the third day in a row and are almost attacked by all those links, I already feel a cold sweat breaking out on my head. That cold sweat of stress. Of feeling overwhelmed. While I start writing again, I will clean up my blog a little as well.

I live in South Africa.

When I Google ideas to blog, it seems that all the ideas are for Americans. Not even Europeans, although some of the season-related ideas could work for Europe as well, I guess. But I struggle to find ideas for South African blogs. Scattered ideas are available. I am looking for “30-day blog ideas” or “365-day blog ideas”. I am going to try to create a list for South Africans who want to blog. Maybe I will get famous.
